Our Responsibility

I have the privilege of attending the International Mission Board’s Impact Your World conference for a few days.  I continue to be challenged by God’s heart for the nations.  Yesterday, Ed Stetzer shared, “It is the responsibility of the people of God to be a light for the nations.”

For the past few weeks, we have been studying Matthew 5:17-48 as a church.  A few weeks ago we explored Jesus’ teaching on anger.  I had a conversation with someone regarding this passage and this great challenge from Jesus.  Their perspective was quite pragmatic.  “How will applying this to life help me?”  That’s a great question.  However, the reality is that as we shift our thinking to His way of thinking it positions us to be His light for the nations.

I cannot wait to see how God leads our church to impact our world in the days ahead!
