As we are nearing the end of our New Thru 40 campaign, this week I have been reading in Hebrews.  I was reminded yesterday of the simplicity of the message of the gospel.  We are nothing without Jesus Christ!

The Hebrew writer concludes with a powerfully simple benediction:  “Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”  Hebrews 13:20-21 (ESV)

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.  There were moments in the book that are difficult to identify with even though I was sympathetic.  Regardless, this is an excellent book for anyone who is a leader.  It will challenge you to think through life priorities and where necessary rearrange what we consider of value.
