As we continue in our journey through Genesis at West Bradenton and North River Church, this weekend we begin a new 3-week series, “Noah.”  This powerful song by Matt Redman is a great reminder as we learn from Noah that God alone can rescue us!

We began a new series this weekend as we continue our journey through the book of Genesis this year at West Bradenton Baptist Church & North River Church.  This new series, “I Am Sin,” explores Genesis 3 and what many call the Fall of Man.  Our first message in the series, Genesis 3:1-7, began with the foundational truth that in Scripture Satan is deceptive.  His subtle suggestion is that God cannot be trusted.  What begins as a dialogue between Eve and Satan (taking the form of a serpent) ends with a painful price.

Sin never provides what it advertises.  Sure it might be sweet for a season but it turns bitter quickly.  I don’t need to go on and on about this reality, because if you are like me you know it to be true.  (See Galatians 6:7-8)

The Good News is that where sin abounds grace abounds all the more.  God has not left us alone to suffer the eternal effect of our sin?  He is provided a way – a new and living way.  That way is Jesus!
