Are you familiar with the word missional? (Read This)  In “The High Priestly Prayer” of Jesus in John 17, as He is praying for those who will believe Jesus prays, “O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me.” (John 17:25, ESV)

In this weekend’s message at West Bradenton, one of the applications we discovered is our responsibility to declare the missional nature of His Name.

We are not just to send missionaries or send mission teams (although both of these are vital and our responsibility), however we are sent as a part of His church – the bride of Christ.   God sends His people as His ambassador to bring the hope of the resurrection every single day of our lives!  It is to be our declaration that His Name is missional. It is the very reason God has given each of us a voice!

So the real question is how is the missional nature of God being heard in your voice?

So what’s your problem?  Before you quit reading, allow me to finish.  Let me ask it a different way…  What’s your habit that haunts you?  No matter how hard you try to forget it always seems to surface when you least expect it.

We have been studying the life of Abraham for several weeks and this weekend we will explore a chapter that I wish was not in the Bible.  Father Abraham… the man of God who walked by faith and not by sight… the man who was willing to forsake everything for God… that same Abraham is haunted by a sin of his passed in Genesis 20.
