I could not put the book down.  Literally, I finished it within hours.  I was overwhelmed at times by Hallums perseverance, boldness, hope, and survival skills.  I continually asked myself, “If I were in this situation, could I persevere?”  From a very humble perspective, Hallums provides readers with amazing clarity of every moment of his nearly one-year captivity.
